Day Of Sunshine And Jiminy Spring
2026 Sping Fling
This year’s Spring Fling was an unforgettable celebration of sunshine, springtime energy, and the amazing community we have here at Jiminy Peak. From early‑morning registration at Crane West Lodge straight through the final splash at the pond skim, the day was packed with laughter, cheering, and a whole lot of friendly competition.

We kicked things off bright and early with the Children’s Scavenger Hunt, where young adventurers spread out across the resort hunting for hidden spring and summer treasures. Their excitement set the tone for the day and brought plenty of smiles to guests and employees alike.
From there, the action moved under the Giant Swing for one of the most beloved traditions of Spring Fling: the Cardboard Box Derby. Teams showed up with wildly creative cardboard constructions, proving once again that duct tape and imagination can achieve incredible things. With helmets on and spirits high, participants raced toward the finish line to cheers from the crowd.
Late morning brought our up‑and‑coming riders to Grommetville for the Grom Sesh, where young shredders under 16 showed off their skills. And the energy only climbed as afternoon hit and things got splashier (and sillier).

The “Wanna Be a Snowmaker” Hose Race gave teams the chance to channel their inner snowmakers, sprinting and maneuvering hoses with impressive speed and plenty of good‑natured competition.
Then came the ever‑popular Bikini Slalom, where racers embraced the spring spirit with bright colors, bold costumes, and big confidence.

But of course, the biggest moment of the day, and the one that drew the loudest cheers, was the Pond Skimming Contest at Alex’s Park. Costumes ranged from outrageous to ingenious, and the attempts were just as varied: some skimmed all the way across with style, some sank instantly and spectacularly, and every single run kept the crowd laughing and shouting for more. Between distance, style, costume creativity, and pure crowd reaction, participants gave the judges plenty to think about.
Throughout the day, many of our employees jumped in to participate, support the events, or simply cheer from the sidelines, and that enthusiasm made the entire celebration feel even more special. Spring Fling isn’t just about the competitions; it’s about coming together as a mountain community and finishing the winter season with a day full of energy and fun. This year delivered all of that and more.

As you look through the photos included in this newsletter, we hope they bring back the joy, color, and unforgettable moments of the day.
